Rosey Mellion Named Regent's Employee of the Month for November

Associate Director for Law Career Services & Alumni Relations Rosey Mellion has been named Regent University's Employee of the Month for November.

Rosey administers professional development programming for the Office of Career & Alumni Services. She consistently introduces innovative ways of providing information to students and alumni, including producing a monthly law alumni newsletter, The Brief Remark. Rosey has even partnered with other departments to create new opportunities for Regent; she assisted with a cybersecurity program that involved participants from Germany — Rosey speaks German!).

Her colleagues attest that Rosey's contributions, knowledge, and dedication make a big difference in both the daily details and long-term goals of Regent. She exhibits a spirit of excellence in everything she does, working diligently to help students uncover their strengths and guide them in their career aspirations.

Rosey is always offering valuable suggestions to challenges that arise. She sees issues from all sides and jumps in to find solutions that work effectively and efficiently. She continually serves her students and alumni sacrificially and how the Lord asks us to serve others. She humbly puts her needs aside in order to provide the best service in every situation.

Rosey also exemplifies integrity through her tremendous heart to serve. She loves Regent, its students and alumni, and she goes above and beyond to make sure programs and policies are conducted with professionalism.

Regent Law Hires Two New Faculty Members—Both Yale Law Graduates—for Fall 2022

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (July 5, 2022) – Today, Regent University School of Law announced the appointment of two new members of its faculty, Erin Morrow Hawley and David D. After Success at Regional Level, Negotiation Team Prepares for National Competition

Regent University School of Law’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Board (ADR) made a strong showing at the ABA Regional Negotiation Competition held Nov. 13-14 at William and Mary School of Law. The 2L team of Mary Katherine Bratton and David Crossett finished second overall from a roster of over 20 teams representing American University, Georgetown, Washington & Lee and other law schools throughout Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, West Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. While all three of Regent’s competition teams placed in the top ten, Bratton and Crossett look forward to an official invitation from the ABA to compete in the national competition, February 5-6 in Orlando, FL.
